Last weekend I went to a few nurseries with some friends. The first one was a wholesale nursery called Riverbend and I was amazed at the great prices! I picked up 3 plants for only $7 including purple basil which I'd never seen before.
Then we headed to Hewitt on Hillsboro Road. I loved the huge variety of plants that we saw as we wandered around looking at everything.
There was a small gift shop inside,
flower pots outside,
succulent arrangements,
greenhouses,
types of flowers I had never seen before,
and more succulents and sedums than I could have imagined!
It was a great sunny day to visit these places but after 4 hours we were all exhausted!
Needless to say, I can't wait to go back again.
Have you discovered any new plants recently?

This lovely shop has everything you could think of for gardening and brewing along with so many fun items. I felt like a kid in a candy store! I had such a great time looking at all the different items they had and couldn't believe how much there is inside and out. These are rustic textured pots, colorful and fun birdhouses hanging from suspended branches above, little ceramic birds and so many unique gift items. One of my favorite finds was the birdhouse outside with succulents planted on the roof!
And the last picture on the left, do you know what those are? Bee Houses! I've never seen one of these before. Is that what we need for the garden? They are filled with bamboo and attract non-stinging Mason bees. Mason bees are slightly smaller than honey bees and are incredible pollinators.
