When I came across this great
tutorial at
delia creates I knew I had to make some of these knit t-shirt produce bags. I just love them!! Armed with an old t-shirt, scissors, and a working sewing machine (mine's been broken for a while now) I started on my first bag. I made this one out of an old soft grey t-shirt and am loving it. Now I just need to find a few more t-shirts to use....
What are your plans for the weekend? Maybe a t-shirt produce bag! I know I'll be looking for another t-shirt or two to use...
Hope you have a great weekend!

One more reason to learn to sew this year. I must get on that:)
So much simpler than the crocheted version, that i'd probably start & never finish :( Thanks for posting the project & the link to the tutorial!
What a cute idea! I've never seen anything like this before! You'll get tons of compliments on your new bag!
So clever! One more thing to add to my craft list!!
Great idea. I've seen this a few times but never made one.... yet! These would be perfect to take to the farmers market. Maybe I'd remember to go to the market if I had one of these cool bags. ;)
Really really really cool! What a wonderful idea! Such a shame that I hate sewing but maybe I should get over that....
Oh SO great! My college girls were just saying they have SO many t-shirts and they want to come up with something to do with them! Passing this link on to them!
What an excellent idea! I love the look of the bag.
I did this bag, too! Yours looks great!
Adorable! I love it. So creative and I love upcycling. I'm going to have to go through my closet again with new purpose. :)
